Meet Mohd Umar Shan, a brave 10-month-old baby boy currently fighting for his life at Bai Jerbai Wadia Hospital for Children, Mumbai. Umar has been diagnosed with a serious congenital heart defect—DILV (double inlet left ventricle) and hypoplastic right AV valve—and has already undergone pulmonary artery banding surgery.
But his battle isn’t over yet.
Doctors have recommended an urgent open-heart surgery (redo sternotomy + Glenn Shunt) within the next 2–4 weeks to save his life. The estimated cost of the surgery is Rs 200,000, and the family is struggling to arrange this amount.
His parents have reached out to us in desperation, hoping for kindness and support from compassionate individuals like you. Every contribution, no matter how small, will bring them closer to the goal of saving their baby’s heart.
