Meet Fatima Madki, a brave 7-year-old girl from Solapur who is fighting a life-long battle with Thalassemia Major, a severe blood disorder. Since early childhood, she has depended on regular blood transfusions and medications just to survive.
Doctors at SRCC Children’s Hospital, Mumbai, have now given her a chance at a normal life — through a Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) with an unrelated full-match donor. But this hope comes at a high cost — Rs 38,13,000 — an amount far beyond what her family can afford.
Fatima’s father is a gym trainer earning just Rs 8,000 per month. The family of five includes her mother and two siblings — one of whom is also thalassaemic and will also need a transplant in the future. Despite all their struggles, Fatima’s family is determined to give her a chance at life and are gathering support from relatives and friends.
But they cannot do this alone.
You can be the reason Fatima lives a healthy, happy life — free from transfusions, pain, and uncertainty.
