About the Cause

A newborn baby, Vaishnavi Kumar Lohar, born on 16 May 2026, is fighting for survival in the NICU. Born prematurely at just 30 weeks and weighing only 1.6 kg, the baby is suffering from severe complications including Respiratory Distress Syndrome (RDS) and requires continuous specialized neonatal care.

Doctors at NICE Advanced Neonatal Care Centre, Kolhapur, have advised ongoing NICU treatment, oxygen support, investigations, and close monitoring for the next 3–4 weeks. The estimated cost of treatment is Rs 2,00,000 to Rs 2,50,000, an amount that is beyond the family's financial capacity.
