Ipshita Kayasta, an 8-year-old brave girl from Jajpur, Odisha, has been battling Thalassemia Major since she was just 3 months old. After years of medications, investigations, and frequent blood transfusions, her doctors have now advised a Haploidentical Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) as her final and life-saving treatment.
She is currently under the care of Dr. Chintan Vyas at SRCC Children’s Hospital, Mumbai. Her mother is a homemaker, and her father, a site supervisor earning just Rs 8,000 per month, is the only breadwinner for their family of six. Despite their limited income, they are doing everything possible to save their daughter.
The estimated cost of the transplant is Rs 36,38,000, out of which the hospital will contribute a 15% concession. While some support is being raised through hospital CSR departments, the family still needs urgent financial help to cover the remaining amount.
Every contribution, big or small, will bring Ipshita closer to a healthier, brighter future.
