About the Cause

Twin babies, born too soon, need your help to survive.

The newborn twin babies of Akanksha Vijaykumar Jadhav, from Kansewadi, Tal. Khatav, Dist. Satara, were born extremely premature at just 26 weeks. Baby-1 (Male) weighs only 1000 grams (ELBW) and Baby-2 (Female) weighs only 900 grams (ELBW). Both babies are currently battling for their lives in the NICU at NICE Advanced Neonatal Care Centre & Children's Clinic, Kolhapur, under the care of Dr. Vijay Mali (M.B.B.S., M.D. Paediatrics, Fellow Neonatology).

Both twins are suffering from Extreme Prematurity, Respiratory Distress Syndrome (RDS), Neonatal Jaundice (NNJ), and Feeding Establishment issues. They are under continuous NICU care, requiring oxygen support, ventilator assistance, blood investigations, and X-rays as needed.

Doctors have advised that both babies will need 5 to 6 weeks of NICU treatment for proper recovery.

The estimated treatment cost is around Rs 4,50,000 to 5,00,000 for each baby, totalling approximately Rs 9,00,000 to 10,00,000 for both twins.
