About the Cause

Little twin baby girls of Minakshi Gautam Nakrani, born prematurely at just 28 weeks, are currently battling for their lives at NICE Hospital, Kolhapur.
Baby 1 weighs 1160 grams (VLBW) and Baby 2 weighs 940 grams (ELBW). Both are suffering from Extreme Prematurity, Respiratory Distress Syndrome (RDS), Neonatal Jaundice (NNJ), and Feeding Difficulties. They are under continuous NICU care, requiring oxygen support, ventilator assistance, blood investigations, and X-rays.
Doctors have advised that the babies will need 5–6 weeks of NICU treatment for proper recovery.
The estimated treatment cost is around Rs 7,00,000 to Rs 7,50,000 for both babies.

Their father, Mr. Gautam Nakrani, works as an office boy and earns a very modest income, making it impossible for the family to afford such a huge medical expense.

- As of 24th Nov,One baby is going home today. The other will go home in a few days because they can’t afford the cost for both babies now. The babies are recovering fast.
